FAQ

What is RESULTS?

RESULTS Canada is democracy in action. We are a grassroots organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty through the commitment of passionate and engaged citizens.

What does RESULTS do?

RESULTS combines the voices of our passionate grassroots activists with strategic grass-tops efforts to leverage millions of dollars for programs and improved policies that give the world’s poorest people the health, education, and opportunity they need to thrive. Using media outreach, advocacy, and community engagement, RESULTS volunteers and staff effectively convey to the government that Canadians across the country are demanding action be taken to reduce poverty around the world. Together, we are the power to end poverty.

How do we mobilize our funds?

RESULTS Canada advocates for the resources that allow local and international agencies to work on the ground in the developing world to improve the health and livelihoods of families. Funds are spent on:

  1. Advocating for quality health care and education to ensure all families have their fundamental needs met
  2. Empowering women and their families by advocating for increased microcredit funding for the very poor
  3. Inspiring action that will create millions of pathways out of poverty around the world
  4. Training hundreds of volunteers from across the country to educate the media, their Members of Parliament, and their communities about the role they can play in ending poverty

What have we achieved?

For the last 25 years, RESULTS Canada has successfully leveraged billions of dollars in development aid for the world’s poorest. For information about our specific campaign successes, see our Campaigns page.
