Committees

The basic purpose of both House of Commons and Senate committees is to examine bills and motions in a very detailed manner.  Committees can also investigate specific issues of interest, hear from witnesses, and deliver a report and recommendations to parliament.

• Find out what Committees do, when they meet and membership lists
• Find out which Committee your MP sits on. After clicking on their name, open the MP Profile and look under the Committees tab.
